With local history enabled, TypeMosaic stores up to 50 completed test summaries in browser localStorage: a random result ID, finish time, passage ID, input-method label, duration, active time, CPM, equivalent WPM, accuracy, correct characters, error count, completed paragraphs, hint setting and scoring version. It also stores your save-history preference. Older results keep their original scores.

What is not stored or uploaded

Raw typing, keystrokes, unfinished candidates and warmup text are not saved to history or uploaded by the app. The current speed chart exists in memory and is not saved in history. This build has no accounts, payments, ads or external analytics. Fonts are served from this site.

Loading a website still sends requests to its hosting provider, which may keep access logs. The hosting provider, operator contact and log retention must be specified before a public launch. On browsers with WebMCP, a user-enabled assistant may read the current test state and scores; the tool does not expose raw input or saved history.

Your controls

1. Turn off local history to stop saving new results. Existing results remain until you clear them.
2. Export downloads a JSON copy of the saved summaries. Keep this file private on shared computers.
3. Clear asks you to confirm, then removes this site's practice history. It does not clear other websites or your save preference.
4. Results belong to this browser and website origin. Moving from localhost to typemosaic.com does not transfer local history. Clearing site data or closing a private window can remove it; there is no cloud backup.
